Hints:
- #8: 7 < infinity.
- #11: every sequence in a closed, bounded set has a convergent subsequence. Also, note that the closed an bounded hypothesis is necessary: think of an example of a limit set consisting of two parallel lines in the plane.

#2, #5.You may choose to turn in 4 of these
65 problems of your choice as a 5th homework assignment. This is optional. Essentially what this means is that I will consider this another assignment but I will now drop your lowest 2 homework scores. - HW4 - Due Mon 11/5: Ch. 8: #2, #5, #9, #12.
